Your Pricing Plan

Our pricing is mainly based on a “fixed fee model”. This helps you plan your costs ahead of time so you don’t get any surprises at the end like most clients experience from Accountants with hourly fee rates. Our fixed fees are calculated on the minimum average time it takes to do your work based on an estimated maximum number of transactions processed. We generally set transactions numbers at a huge 600 bank statement transactions per year maximum, well within most client’s businesses. We also factor in work complexity and client cooperation (in providing all the information needed) into the mix.

Should the accounting and tax work required exceed our standard fixed fee criteria due to the volume of your tax and or business operations, you will be notified before we proceed any further. A quote is then sent to you so you can cancel if you so wish. Go through the various plans we offer below and select the one that best suits your needs.

We also do a WYN (whatever you need) plan which is a fully customised plan specifically designed for your own business and tax situation and budget. We will work in any situation by supplying professional accounting and tax solutions to meet your needs, however complex. Nothing is too small or too big – we provide expert help for everyone.

Special Discount Price – October and November – 60% off

We have set a special promotion price for the months of October and November. The price is a low fixed fee of $980 (usually to $2,450) + GST for all accounting and tax work. There is a limited number of client spaces available in this promotion. Once the quota is filled, this special will close.

In the TAX REFUNDS plan we claim back all refunds due to you on your individual Personal Tax Summary (PTS). It is for people who received income from salary or wages only and under $200 from interest and dividends. Income may also include various benefits, super and pensions.

You could get a tax refund if you:

  • were a beneficiary, salary or wage earner
  • made donations to schools, churches or any charity
  • filed a tax return that was incorrect
  • worked for part of the year only
  • received a lump sum payment such as a bonus or salary increase
  • were mad redundant during the year
  • stopped work to have a baby
  • had more than one employer during the year
  • did seasonal work such as during holidays
  • went overseas on your OE
  •  lived overseas for a period
  • are a beneficiary in a trust
  • have investments that are jointly owned
  • are a new immigrant to NZ
  • have past losses from previous business activities
  • received other income such as rents and didn’t claim all the expense you’re entitled to
  • retired but still did odd jobs from which tax was deducted
  • had expenses to claim (e.g. income protection insurance or fees to accountants or tax specialists)
  • were entitled to working for families tax credits because you have dependent children
  • were entitled to independent earner tax credits because you earned under $48,000 for the year
  • are eligible for other tax credits such as parental or minimum tax credits
  • you made donations through payroll giving from your salary or wages
  • are a child and earned under $2,340 for the year with tax taken out on some of that income
  • your employer mistakenly overtaxed you during the year (e.g. using the wrong tax code)
  • have a specific situation that involves a number of other factors

Note:
If we can’t get a refund for you, our fee is waived in full – that’s right, no charge, absolutely free.

The TAX RETURN plan is for those required by law to file an IR3 Individual tax return rather than just a Personal Tax Summary. You must file an IR3 return if you earned “other income” with or without salary, wages, interest, dividends, and/or taxable Māori authority distributions or where you had “other things”

Other income includes:

  • Self-employed or business income (see plans for OWN BOSS and ALL BUSINESS)
  • Income without PAYE deducted – e.g. shareholder-employee salary or loss of earnings policy
  • Investment income
  • Rental income (see RENTALS plan)
  • Estate, trust or partnership income
  • Schedular payments of more than $200
  • Income from cash jobs or “under the table” payments
  • Income from an illegal enterprise
  • Royalties
  • Income from boarders, home stay, students, flatmates (in certain situations)
  • Overseas income including interest and dividends that didn’t have tax deducted
  • Distribution of income/loss from a look-through company (LTC)
  • Allocated income from a portfolio investment entity that was taxed at a zero rate

Other things include if you:

  • Have expenses to claim
  • Have losses to claim or brought forward from the previous year
  • Have excess imputation credits brought forward from the previous year
  • Changed your balance date part-way through the year
  • Left or arrived in New Zealand part-way through the year
  • Are filing a return for a deceased person to the date of death (if required to file for the income year)
  • Were declared bankrupt part-way through the year
  • Received allocated income from a portfolio investment entity taxed lower than correct rate
  • Opted to include dividends received from a portfolio investment entity listed on the New Zealand Stock exchange, in order to claim imputation credits

The RENTALS PLAN is for owners of rental properties. We specialise in accounting and tax reduction for rental property owners and renters of holiday and beach homes. There are many expenses that can be claimed against rental income received. The objective is to arrive at a rental profit that’s as low as possible because it is on this rental profit that you will be taxed. We have a big checklist that we tick off to ensure nothing is missed on your rentals.We claim for you every expense that is directly or indirectly related to earning your rental income.

The I.T plan is designed for contractors, developers, designers and others in the I.T sector who provide services

Independent IT contractors and sub-contractors are self-employed people who control what work they do and how it’s done. They provide the tools, equipment and expertise needed for the job, and then invoice their client for their time and services each month.

The OWN BOSS plan is for anyone who is self-employed as a sole trader (owner-operator) and not as a partnership, company or trust.

Includes labour only contractors, independent contractors, online traders (e.g. Trade Me sellers), home based businesses, investors, taxi business, entertainers, bands, direct sellers and distributors (MLM), property developers, dealers and speculators, any small & medium business that’s not operating as a partnership company or trust.
